AHAR Holding
Building Vision. Empowering Growth.
AHAR Holding is one of the largest home-grown companies in Mozambique, with a strong and growing presence across three countries. From manufacturing to trading, real estate to industrial development, AHAR Holding is a driving force behind the growth of both the Mozambican and international markets.
Founded by the visionary entrepreneur Mr. Abdul Hamid Abdul Rahim, the company is built on more than 30 years of experience in diverse sectors including commerce, real estate, agriculture, and industry.
The journey began with a single retail shop in the heart of Nampula, known as Samir Center, which specialized in importing goods from Asia. The store quickly gained national recognition, attracting customers from over 1,000 kilometers away, becoming a hub for trade and trusted products.
As demand grew, Mr. Abdul Hamid expanded his operations, opening multiple retail outlets throughout the city—including the landmark Zain Shopping Center.
Driven by ambition and innovation, he launched one of the most groundbreaking industrial projects of the decade: ARJ Cimentos, a cement factory that directly competed with major Portuguese manufacturers. The venture was a resounding success. After receiving several high-value acquisition proposals, Mr. Abdul Hamid made the strategic decision to sell the factory, further strengthening his capital base.
This milestone enabled AHAR Holding to diversify its portfolio—investing in warehouses, hotels, condominiums, and large-scale industrial developments.
Over the past eight years, under the continued leadership of Mr. Abdul Hamid and the strategic involvement of his three sons, AHAR Holding has tripled in size. Today, the group stands as a symbol of resilience, innovation, and excellence in the Mozambican business landscape.
AHAR Holding continues to shape the future—creating value, empowering communities, and building a legacy of success.
